Hi, I’m a dedicated Educational Specialist with over 10 years of experience working with students with disabilities, ages 5 to 22. I hold a Master of Arts in Special Education: Moderate/Severe Disabilities (now known as Extensive Support Needs) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders, giving me a strong foundation in both educational planning and communication support. I also bring 8 years of classroom experience and 2 years as a behavioral interventionist.
I founded Helping Kids with Special Needs (HKSN) out of my passion for supporting students with disabilities—especially through personalized accommodations, modifications, and communication strategies. I specialize in low-tech AAC tools like picture cards and core word systems, helping students make meaningful progress in all areas of life.
But just as importantly, I believe in empowering families. Parents and caregivers are their child’s first teacher and most powerful advocate. I’m here to support you as you navigate services, understand your child’s IEP, and build confidence in helping your child thrive.
